The work was created as a response to Marcel Duchamp's famous "Nude Descending a Staircase, No.2" which was based on his strong desire to depict motion on a canvas. Ms. Nishikawa attempts to portray the journey of life while celebrating this work's centennial and reaffirming her vision of dance as the creation of three dimensional images in space. The piece is the choreographer's exploration of the work of a father of modern art, through a maze of time, space and images.
